white seems to be the color at this years lakme fashion week. atleast wid the men. presenting r d celebs that spot this colorless fashion.

Sabya believes in providing us wid colorful creations bt sans color fr himself !! always in whites...

imtiaz ali seems to be truly a "ROCKSTAR" in this white shirt.

sabya's muse at this years cannes - Kanistha dharkar looks cool n casual in white.

Chang - safe bet in a white cotton shirt and khaki pants.

Shaan - white is indeed his best friend.

Rohit Roy - who can carry an entire white suit with such elan !!

Textiles and fashion take a cue directly from pharmacy- bandage cloths, band aid; plaster gauzes promise  the healing process. Starched and pressed linens and gauzy woven cottons will float around the bodies while bandage like loose texture stretch material will hug the skin in skin colors. The doctor’s coat or the lab coat is also finding a way into the fashionista’s wardrobe.

 It’s actually healthy to wear white as it is not dyed or treated by colors and pigments.

Biggest trend spotted this year at the fashion wek is to accessorize. Wear simple clothes but get your accessoires right. one statement neckpiece is what it takes to get yu through your style quotient. Bizzare articles are making way for the traditional precious metal and stones like plastic, paper, wood etc.

heard of food grains enamelled on a neckpiece. check tis out... gr8 when u feel hungry !!

carol was dressed simply in a white ganji and blue denims but her assymetrical acrylic necpiece says it all !!

fashion writer meher castelino in her bunch of chains with a few stones decked up here and there.

anjana sharma's transparent neckpiece !!

poonam dhillon with her feather and wood necklace over a grey jumpsuit.

designers also did cash in on this trend. designer Sourabh kant shrivastava with his statement neckpieces . love his use of materials and interplay of metals.

sourabh's piece is a sure shot showstopper !!

Back in the ancient times our maharajas always prefered to wear statement necklaces with their elaborate clothing. A symbol of royalty and grandour, It seems that the big trend of covering up your neck is back in time this year around. so abandon all those scarve and stoles from your wardrobe and go in fr des pieces to prep up your boring outfit anyday.

LAKME FASHION WEEK - WINTER FESTIVE-ground level

time and tide wait for no one ......

Four months since the last lakme got over ...when i was just trying to get over the nostalgia and here it is once again in no time at all !!

Lakme fashion week winter festive 2011 (as they call it ) was here again with all its madness and frenzy waiting to captivate the viewer.

Same old place, d same old people, same venue .....old wine in a new bottle !!
