"Reverse velvet" -  who said durries were only meant to be used as mats...check out this brand for its himalayan carpet clothing....

Kawaljit singh - wear a dhoti with a long kurta and throw over a shawl in graphical prints.....

u definitely stole the show.....

Its all about fantasy....what u fantasise is what you wear. in an age of modern technology quirkiness is what will decide upon your style quotient. get it right or else you can be a spoilt sport in this game.

Lakme fashion Week this time has been more about people , celebs, trend offs, support staff etc. minus the shows, reviews that you can find endlessly anywhere.

Until the madness begins next season : 1st March- 6th March 2012.

LFW SS 2011- part 2- A day's round up

A day at lakme starts at around 11:00 am with the design team opening the stalls, arranging the garments, ironing, etc. Its like his one tedious thing to unpack everthing from those giangantic suitcases.

Its lunch time already... either u can gorge onto the fashion cafe or else tis place at the grand hyatt !!

 Aditi dhar , accessory designer based in delhi has come up wid chic and affordable leather bags...

loved the huge black travel bag witk an antelope horn handle, priced at rs. 14000/-

Sabbah Khan's show, "TukTuk".

If you r lucky and get time in between then u can attend a show or two in the noon.

Media is always there searching for the smallest update, cameras go flashing and the sound of the click is like bacground music to the ears !!

u r tired and wanna grab on a fruit tart or a brownie this is the place to be.

And the bottle u see is actually chocolate...sovineir at the buyer meet.

the day has come to an end and the stall also closes..brown tapes are sealed in an uncanny fashion to suggest "I am done for the day !!"
