Years ago when the whole of the fashion industry was looking forward to the richie rich delhi and the filmi bombay , there was one person who was slowly working from his home ground only to become the most sought after designer in the country- Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

The bengali bride dressed traditionally in a white and red sari.

The favorite with bengal women is the laal par or the red border, echoing the red of the sindhoor in the parting of the young brides hair.

the wedding guests seem to be high on bengali fashion with traditional woven saris doing rounds.

Loved the yellow dupatta and the way it is tied and knotted round the neck!!
