Fab Hab

"Men make roads, but it is the women who teach the children how to walk on them "

Every once in a while , an unusual suspect, an underdog emerges out of nowhere and claims a small but remarkable slice of our attention - And you find yourself enjoying her victory more than you might have expected.
The irrepressible, unstoppable and immensely likeable - MARY KOM  - she's just that.

She was present to welcome her association with Mumbai's new fashion station : The Hab.
Its a one stop hub for designers, students, kids, etc for all their need of the season's mango yellow buttons to bright pop coloured zippers and a fabulous dash of all cool trinkets.

Its time to be done with satin and sequins and take bolder cues from the runways as their in house designers will help you create products with the coolest fabric, buttons, patches etc - fab at the Hab.
May be you want to get a hobo for a sit down dinner or go goth for new year's - it has it all.

TRIBAL INSTINCTS - 2

“You know you are truly alive when you’re living among lions.”

I saw no African people in the printed and illustrated  school textbooks.  I began to suspect that someone had distorted the image of african people. My long search for the true history of African people the world over began.

Tribal instincts - 2 is about my friends who have found influences from african and south american tribes.

Ruchika wears a skin print dress very much in similarity to the masaai body paint.

Deepak sports a colourful printed scarf very much similar to the turbans of the south american tribes.

Irshna wraps around an animal print scarf around her neck. To notice her rough cutout edges.

Parita apes the tribal neckpiece with a solid colored kurta.

Navneet loves his dreadlocks and wears it smartly to office, weddings, movies, and more.

Tribal instinct : PART 1

For tribal man space was the uncontrollable mystery. For technological man it is time that occupies the same role.
We re looking back for everything. There is a reference point for everything.
This is a compilation of photos of some people that i know and how their costumes have a striking resemblance to the Tribes of india.

Sarita wears the bandhini skirt with a chic button up military shirt and drapes a dupatta over it.

Divya wears clashing prints with solid blocks of color. To notice her accessory, the dabba tiffin !!

Neha got married in a traditional grazia outfit sans embroidery. Block prints, chintz, gota work formed a part of her lehnga.

All accessorised with her Chanel glares !!

Ayesha very much looks like a niligiri tribe in this photo on its own. Her incorporation of patchwork dress shares a striking resemblance.

Ananya shares her love for bandhani and flare. To notice her african boots teamed with pops of color.

BAND BAAJA BARAAT

“Girls have got balls. They're just a little higher up, that's all.”

Sex sells, It's clitche, sure, but that doesn't mean it's not true. Thanks to the standards of decency though, you can't come out and say " this product will get you laid" - unless you're AXE.

On a recent shopping with my friend for her "Wedding Lingerie shopping" i came across some of the wierdest things available in this booming innerwear industry.

Red is the color of Wedding lingerie.

Chat with lingerie stylist before your wedding !!

For some inspiration check out vidhya balan at her cheeziest best in ghanchakar and dirty picture.
Try her heart print tops, tassled lingerie and pacman print chaddis all teamed up with a cute bow hairband !!

Also here is a list of products that would make your head spin with all that is required to manage your love handles.

Its a pocket bra ! basically what our grandmas and mommas did is in fashion now, its cool to keep things inside your bra now. Try these pocket bras for the ultimate security !

Fcup cookies dont think can do any good to you instead of increasing you belly size!
Butt pads are the new fad for you flatso behind !!

And finally this is the boob seperator !! meant to keep the boobs seperated while sleeping !! Seems very wired though but says it helps waive away breast pain!

Finally,I’m not saying you have to bust out the fringed g-string and vinyl bustier for a quiet evening at home .  What I am saying is that it’s okay to splurge on yourself.  To quote the legendary Dita von Teese, “Lingerie is not about seducing men, it’s about embracing womanhood.”  Truer words have never been spoken.
